Today's Prayer
Lord, forgive me for not doing what I know You have told me to do. I asked You to let me know Your will. You told me, and I balked at it. You always give me confirmation. You never send me a message just once. I chose to disregard it.  Please don't let my insolence drive away your mercy. I don't want Your grace to run out on me. I need help with accepting and with doing. Instead of excuses for fear, I need courage to face those fears. I want to be about the things You would have me to be about.  You are my mother. You are my father. Please help me to be obedient to You. If You must chastise me, please be gentle. I don't want to continue to have to learn the hard way. Thank You for mercy and grace. In Your name I ask and I pray. I accept Your will for my life. Amen, and so it is.

What Is Light?

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5 KJV)

Today's Prayer
God, l come. I want to walk in Light, the beautiful Light, which is You. With You, there is no darkness, and I am forgiven. Thank You for giving me Light to brighten my pathway. I pray that I allow that Light to shine brightly for others to see. My supplication is that I draw others to You.  Let Light guide my emotions to respond and not react. Let Light guide my temperament to be obedient and faithful, and not dissident or fearful. Let Light lead me to be kind and loving, not filled with anger or resentment. Let Light be me. Amen and so it is.

Lord, help me to see the truth of circumstances. Show me how to recognize You in every situation. I also pray that the Spirit of love make it's home in my heart and mind. Teach me how to love like You love me. I was created out of act of love, for the purpose of sharing Your love with the world. Help me to acknowledge that I am an expression of that love called God. I was created by You. You are love, therefore, so am I. Amen and so it is.

What Are You Teaching Them?

Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. (Titus 2:2-8 NLT)

Today's Prayer
I come to the throne of grace with reverence and respect for the Creator of all creation. I ask that You stir up in me a desire to learn, and a desire to share my learnings with others, as You see fit. I pray for sound faith, and to be filled with love and patience. Lord, daughters need examples of Godly women that live in a righteous way and honor God. Place women in their lives who teach them what is good. Women that will train them how to love their husbands and their children. Grant them a council of women that are pure hearted, full of integrity, and sound character. Similarly, in the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely. I pray that I will be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything I do reflect the integrity and seriousness of God. Help me to walk in truth so that You are glorified. Amen and so it is.

Are You On-Guard?

Today's Prayer
Lord, I pray that You intervene on my behalf, and protect me from the foolishness surrounding me. Cover my ears. Make them deaf to evil speech and rumors about other folks lives. Guard my eyes let me see, but not be part of malicious and unjust happenings by those that would do evil around me. If necessary, mute my mouth. Protect me from saying things to the atmosphere that would manifest unwanted results and consequences. Let me be in this world, but not of this world. Help me stay strong in my faith, and let me draw close to You in all my ways. I pray that Your spirit take control of my life right now. Amen and so it is.

Are You Slipping? Where Is Your Comfort Zone?

So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. (1 Peter 1:14 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, please don't let me revert back to my old ways of handling things. I pray that You send me sources of encouragement that edify my new walk and my new talk. When things get hectic, I seem to want to cope with them in my old comfort zone. I pray that You create a new comfort zone for me. I pray that you instill in me the desire to seek You in everything, and teach me to acknowledge You in all my ways. Amen and so it is.

Were You Born A Sinner?

For I was born a sinner— yes, from the moment my mother conceived me. But you desire honesty from the womb, teaching me wisdom even there. (Psalms 51:5, 6 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Lord, You know me, even better than I know myself. You know my strengths, as well as my shortcomings. You also know my heart, as well as my mind. You see the conflict between my flesh and my spirit. I don't do right without Your help. I want to, but I don't.  I know You already have given me everything I need, and I need help accepting and receiving it. I ask that You purify my thoughts. Wash them, and sanctify my mind. Place a joy within me that makes me excited to be obedient to You. Only You can renew my faith and heal my mind. I open my mouth to offer praise to You. I say thank You. Thank You Lord for blessing me. Amen and so it is.

Faith Friday

God loves me. He has a blueprint for my life that includes dominion. I believe by faith that God has called me to dominate and control, not to have things control me.

While I am tempted to list all of my issues in order to "deal" with them, I have to avoid glorifying my problems, and distracting me from the main thing (Matt 6:33).  Instead of listing problems, I will do what the bible says in Philippians 4:8 and think about:
- true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise

The bible also says that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all I ask or think! Ephesians 3:20

So I will think big, recognizing that even what I think is big will be too small for God.  Isaiah 49:6

When life tries to overwhelm me I believe by faith that God's wisdom and knowledge will be the stability that I need. Isaiah 33:6

I am happy because of Your revelation and vision. Without vision I would be discouraged and fail. Proverbs 29:18

The love of Christ is bigger than anything I might face. And nothing can separate me from the love of Christ. Ephesians 3:19, Romans 8:35

I declare that I will accomplish everything that God has placed in my heart.

Remember, repent and return. I will remember the purpose of the bloody cross. I admit that I have done wrong and change my ways.  I'll return to that first love place. Revelation 2:4-5

Where Does It All Begin?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. (John 1:1, 2 KJV)

Today's Prayer
This prayer has been a long time coming. Thank You for revealing to me there is power in my  words. You said "let there be light," and there was light; "let us make man," and it happened; "peace be still," and the storm subsided. I don't know why I never paid attention to what has been in my face for so long. I thought this scripture was about the Bible or maybe even Jesus, but it is a simple revelation of the truth; it's about how You work. You work through words, and You gave me the ability to speak those words as well. Therefore, You gave me the same power. Wow, I have power! Now Lord, I pray that You teach me how to use that power in the right way. I accept and receive that power. I'm going to use that power right now and say "it is well!" Amen and so it is.

What Can Separate You From God?

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. (Romans 8:38 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Lord, I don't ever want to be on my own without You. I tried to do it that way, and I was miserable. I pray that You don't let me forget how important our relationship is. Instill in me the desire to cultivate it daily. Commune with me in my sleep and as I wake. Let me continually fellowship with Your spirit as I go about my day. Lord, You are my everything. I'm nothing without You, and I'm more than with You. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
Lord, God Almighty. You are worthy to be praised. I exalt Your name and lift my voice to say thank You. Hallelujah! I offer the highest of praises to The King of kings and The Lord of lords. Father, I come before Your throne of grace to ask You to grant me the boldness to tell the world what You have done for me. You've given me a testimony that I know should be shared with others. I pray for conspicuousness and the discernment to know what to share, when to share, and how to share it. Bless the words that come out of my mouth to be humble and yet powerful. I pray for the conviction to tell my story of You. Amen and so it is.

Are You Close With God?

Today's Prayer
Nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord. I want to be near to You. I need to understand the things that are perplexing me; like why am I struggling with everyday life so much. I mean everything seems to be a big deal. Even though I know it's not, it feels like it is. I need You to fill me with gratitude and change my attitude. I know You are more than enough, and You love me more than I could ever imagine. Help me to be willing to receive You in a way that I never have before. I pray for the desire to fellowship with You on a more regular basis. Let our time be a priority in my life everyday. Amen and so it is.
