Monday Meditation - abundance
Happy Monday
susanne van hulst
Quiet the mind and the soul will speak.
Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavita
Let’s try an abundance meditation
sit as comfortable and as upright as possible.
rest your hands open and uncross your legs
drop your shoulders and slightly tuck in your chin
breath through your nose
smile... yes... put a smile on your face
keep your eye focused on something just above you or half close them... or... if you like close them all the way... whichever feels the most comfortable for you.
now take slow, deep breaths and tell yourself to relax with each breath.
pay attention to your breaths as you tell each part of your body to relax from your head down to your feet.
when you are relaxed repeat to yourself "I am abundance, I open myself to abundance, life is abundance"
say it to yourself with each breath
As you say this, bring your attention to a spot about three inches to the left of your chest area and inward toward the center of your body (your core).
Imagine that the air around you fills with a thick liquid. The liquid is so thick you relax completely into it. It cradles you gently keeping you safe and secure. It connects you to everyone and integrates you with your surroundings.
Through this, you can sense and feel abundance in your environment. You can feel abundance within you. The energetic vibrations of abundance are being transmitted to you through the thick air.
You are the center of this thickness and all abundance flows through the air to you. Open yourself and receive the abundance flowing to you and through you.
Listen to yourself and hear you inner radar speak abundance to you. Know that you are supported and connected to the abundance around you. Rest in this abundance, knowing you will manifest this abundance in your life and the world.
When you are finished, tell yourself that you will be abundant and that life will promote you and help you to grow, prosper and be abundant. Rest a moment and relax in the space of your meditation. When you are ready, get up and return to your day. every now and then, throughout the day, stop, take three deep breaths and say "I am abundant, life is good."

Are you at peace?
How do we bring peace into our lives? The books I have read suggest meditation. It is supposed to ground your spirit, put you more in tune with your body and your inner you and give you peace. I am working on that. I try to meditate as often as I can; lately meditating at least three to four times a week. I find it does keep me more grounded and in tune with the needs of my inner me. I find that I am more at peace when I practice meditation. It does work. The hardest part is just finding or rather carving out time to meditate.
As I think about peace, I think of the people in my life who exude peace and serenity while their lives are in turmoil. When I ask them how this could be, they say they don’t let the turmoil around them touch them. They tell me to let go of the things that make me crazy, to let go of past issues that bring me down. When I tell them it is not so easy, they agree, but say that is what makes it worth it. I am trying to do those things as well - let go of the things that make me crazy. It does work, but it is also not easy...

Monday Meditation- vitality
Happy Monday
susanne van hulst
Let's try a vitalizing meditation -
Sit as comfortable and as upright as possible.
rest your hands open and uncross your legs
drop your shoulders and slightly tuck in your chin
breath through your nose
smile... yes... put a smile on your face
keep your eye focused on something just above you or half close them... or... if you like close them all the way... whichever feels the most comfortable for you.
Now take slow, deep breaths and tell yourself to relax with each breath.
pay attention to your breaths as you tell each part of your body to relax from your head down to your feet.
when you are relaxed repeat to yourself "I am vital, life is energizing"
say it to yourself with each breath
As you say this, bring your attention to a spot about three inches to the left of your chest area and inward toward the center of your body (your core).
imagine that you have a fire hydrant at the center of your being and that the hydrant is connected to a high-pressured energy-giving, life-force. see this, feel this, touch this with your imagination
now imagine that from the hydrant are hoses and those hoses are your arms and legs, feet and hands.
inhale and as you exhale, turn on the hydrant. feel this life-giving, energy-force flow through your body. feel it rush down to your toes and out to your fingertips. then feel this energy flowing beyond you and out into the world.
this is life-giving water. this is revitalizing energy. this is what keeps us alive and vibrant. this force keeps us vital. see it. feel it. taste it. touch it with your imagination. hear it rush from your core… through you arms and legs and out of you hands and feet. imagine this vital, vibrant, life-giving energy flowing out of you and being shared with the world. YOU are vital, vibrant, energizing, life-giving.
when you are finished, tell yourself that you will be more energized and that the water of the world and the life-force energy with you will nourish you and help you to grow and prosper. then pause a moment and appreciate the life-force energy that is you.

Sunday Love and Affirmatiions
Sunday Relaxation - Taking Care of You
I love Sundays. No matter what kind of week I have had. I look forward to Sundays. Whether it is staying in bed a little longer, curling up with a book, listening to music, taking a walk in nature, spending time with loved ones; I always think of Sundays as a day to celebrate The Creator and all of His Creations and as a day to take care of me. That is not selfish. If I don't take care of myself how can I be there for those I love, how can I take on the world, how can I work for my dreams.
Loving and giving include loving yourself and giving to yourself the things you need ... nourishment, joy, laughter, fun, shelter, clothing. Sometimes we forget that in that giving and loving are things like, serenity, relaxation, and recharging our inner batteries. Today... before life grabs you up and takes over, make a conscious choice to spend sometime taking care of you.
SO... make sure... MaKe SuRe... you Take CaRe of YOU so you can say thank you for all your blessings, share a smile or some laughter with another, do a kindness for another and give and love with a lighter, brighter, gentler, relaxed spirit.
Have a Lovely Sunday and may The Great I Am Bless you and Keep you SaFe

As you say this, bring your attention to a spot about three inches to the left of your chest area and inward toward the center of your body (your core). Imagine that you have a heart at the center of that place inside of you. Every time you breathe out it gets larger and larger. With every exhalation, the image becomes more defined. The heart becomes larger and more solid. Have fun with this image. Paint it your favorite color, name it, add fragrance to it. Imagine yourself hugging it. This heart is an internal focus point, a place to a place to gather your thoughts, a place to love yourself.
As your heart expands, feel the love that is within spread throughout your entire body. See this love, feel this love, touch this love. As you let your mind rest on the image of expanding love, you will become a conduit for love-energy, for love-forces. The power of love flows through you and you have access to it at any time. You can always return to this when you feel unloved or hurt. This powerful love-energy sustains you as you play in life. If there are areas of your body that need a little extra love, make sure to spend a little extra time filling those areas with love.
When you are finished, tell yourself that life will be more enjoyable and you will be more joyful if you smile and relax just a little bit more. Then rest a moment and relax in the space of your meditation. When you are ready, get up and return to your day. Every now and then, throughout the day, stop, take three deep breaths and say "I am loving, I open myself to love, life is love."

Pay attention to your breaths as you tell each part of your body to relax from your head down to your feet.
When you are relaxed repeat to yourself "I am grounded, life is good"
Say it to yourself with each breath
Feel your feet blend with the floor , feel your feet go below the floor to the ground beneath.
Feel yourself standing with your feet in the soil of Mother Nature
see it, Feel it, touch it with your imagination
Now imagine that you are becoming a tree with massive branches, full of leaves, and roots , part of your feet, penetrating deeply into the soil.
Each time you breathe out, your roots grow deeper.
Take a deep breath and exhale. As you breathe and your roots grow deeper, feel your posture become straighter, more solid and firm. You are firmly rooted and, while you can bend, but you cannot be uprooted. Now feel your body begin to receive nourishment from the earth. As you continue to breathe, feel nourishment flow to every part of your body. Feel nourishment from the air and the sun enter your body through your branches and leaves.
You are a tree, grounded to the earth, grounded to Mother Nature… you are living, growing and healthy. When you are finished, tell yourself that you will be more grounded and that life will nourish you and help you to grow and prosper. Then rest a moment and relax in the space of your meditation. When you are ready, get up and return to your day. Every now and then, throughout the day, stop, take three deep breaths and say "I am grounded, life is good."

a Sunday Guided Meditation
crossingisland.tumblr |
I enjoy guided meditations - taking some time for me, to relax, go inside myself, and just be. It is even better when the guided meditation is fun. This guided mediation is just that. It is also a perfect beginning sort of meditation. It is called "P.S. You are Great and Everything is Going to be Okay". It is basically fifteen minutes of why life is actually pretty okay. If you have fifteen minutes give it a try.
