Is God More or Less?

He must increase, but I must decrease. (John 3:30 KJV)

Today's Prayer
I pray that with my accomplishments come a sense of humility. Replace any arrogance with gratitude and appreciation for who truly is responsible for making it all happen, You. Lord, sometimes I let the compliments of mankind puff me up instead of remembering to acknowledge the source of my success. I pray that I don't keep my source a secret. Let me bare witness of how great and magnificent You are. Let me testify about Your goodness and mercy. Let me be the one who, in the face of compliment, says thank you, but more importantly thanks You. Amen and so it is.

Sometimes
Let me give it a whirl
I can do anything
Sometimes I feel like I'm on top of the world

Let me feel safe for awhile
I am weak and vulnerable
Sometimes I feel like a really small child

Let me take control
I am the master of my kismet
Sometimes I feel like an unconquerable soul

Sometimes, what I feel
Is not what is real
I must know
Sometimes, my feelings must go

Do You Know The Way?

You have shown me the way of life, and you will fill me with the joy of your presence. (Acts of the Apostles 2:28 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Abba, Father, please pour out Your Spirit upon all of us today. Bless the communities in which we live and work in, the elders as well as the youth. Let our sons and daughters speak the truth about life, as if through divine inspiration. I pray that our young men will see visions, instead of prisons and graves. I pray that our old men will dream dreams of prosperity and hope, instead of nightmares of hatred and curses. Lord, I pray that You will always be with me, right by my side. I ask for the confidence that goes along with knowing that You are there. My heart is glad and I will rejoice and shout praises to Your Holy Name. Hallelujah! Thank You for hope, strength, and joy. Amen and so it is.

Victory
We have won
We have overcome
Not by hook
Not by crook
But grace,
Gave us the look

It's lifted
We did it
Not barely got by
Passed with flying colors
My, my, my

It's over
It's finished
It's all said and done
The fat lady is singing
With the Omnipotent and the Almighty
We are One

Did You See God's Glory?

Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? (John 11:40 KJV)

Today's Prayer
Lord, open my eyes. Let me taste of Your goodness. Let me bask in Your grace. Let me wallow in Your love. I pray that Your glory will be revealed to me. I'm not even sure I really know what that means, but it sounds terrific, fabulous even. Forgive me for being upset with current circumstances. Much like Mary was upset about Lazarus, I allowed the situation to blind me to the potential of Your power. Please, raise the Lazarus in my life from the dead. Open my eyes and let me witness Your glory. Amen and so it is.

Who Dat
It's 4th and plenty
Times running out
We need a miracle today
That's no doubt

Amazing shot
Did you see that spin
In the final seconds
He got the win

Incredible
I can't believe my eyes
He went right over them
Like He was flying Superman high

How did He do it
It's improbable in fact

Nothing's impossible
When talking 'bout
Who Dat

Do You Believe?

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? (Isaiah 53:1 KJV)

Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, I'm running out of options, I don't know what else to do. I know You are a mighty God. You are faithful and just. You supply all my needs according to Your riches in Glory. I do have faith, but I don't know that I always believe. Sometimes I have a problem with stepping out on faith. Forgive me, but I need to be honest about how I'm feeling. I need help in this area. Help me to believe, and cease from thinking that I'm doing things on my own. Help me to always trust in You, no matter what. I give You absolute control. I pray that I may please You by acting like I'm Yours; the child of a King, the heir of a rich and mighty warrior, the offspring of the amazing architect of creation, and the great I Am. I have to believe in You, not just have faith. Help me Lord, please help me. Amen and so it is.

Do I or I Do
Believe
Grace receive
Step out in faith
Or hesitate

Withstand the trials
Trust and obey with a smile
Live my testimony
Or fake sanctimony

Conquer my fears
Act like God is near
Sing the blues
Or share the Good News

Do I pray
Or do I play
Stop...
I do
I choose life today

Who Is Able?

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (Ephesians 3:20 KJV)

Today's Prayer
Glory be to God. I pray that Your mighty power works within me. I need to accomplish infinitely more than I thought was possible. I believe You have a work for me that has not been fully revealed. I pray for Your countenance to embrace and control how I feel.

It Is
There's a work to be done, and
I play an important role
I don't know what it is
I give You complete control
I'm sure it will be revealed
It's just a matter of time
I'm sure it will be amazing
It will be just fine
I won't let my emotions
Stand in the way
I'm doing whatever it is
Serving God's will today

What Will You Ask For?

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. (John 11:22 KJV)

Today's Prayer
God, I pray for truth. The ability to be truthful about my choices, my decisions, and my consequences. I pray that I don't blame others or circumstances for things that I'm actually responsible for. I pray for the courage to acknowledge the role I played in every situation. I pray for the wisdom to know what to pray for and how to pray. I pray for the faith that withstands the doubts and discouragements of the unbelievers. Mostly God, I pray that You allow me to carry myself as if a piece of You is in me. Amen and so it is.

Just A Lil' Bit
All I want is a piece
That's all,
Not much
Just a lil' bit
A small part of such

Give me a sliver
A shaving
If you will
That's thin as a piece of paper
Smaller than a dollar bill

I can stand much more
Your kindness and mercy I implore
I'll take what I can get
Even if that is
Just a lil' bit

Are You A Slave?

Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. (Romans 6:16 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Dear One, I am in a weird place today. I'm not really sure how to handle these feelings I been wrestling with lately. It feels like something on the inside of me seems to be at war. My intentions and my actions aren't on the same page. Lord, I need You to help me be still in my spirit. I pray that You calm the unrest that is going on inside me. I want to do right, yet often I find myself making not-so wise decisions. I pray for, I don't know, my desires to match up with my decisions I guess. Yes, Lord, that's it. Help me do what I need to do. Amen and so it is.

Just One
Getting kinda of hectic
It's been kinda stressed
Starting to feel like I am
More cursed than blessed

Taking my time
Finding my way
Wandering aimlessly
Living for today

Having some fun
Meeting new friends
Telling a few stories
Making amends

Taking new steps
Starting with just one
One day at a time
That's how I will get it done

Do You Want The Truth?

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. (1 John 4:4 NLT)
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4 KJV)

Today's Prayer
I pray for the Spirit of truth to guide me. Let my communication be bold, and honest, and loving. I pray that the point of view I share be of God and not of the world. Lord, help me to be truthful in all of my interactions with people. Let me not feel compelled to say what I think will be pleasing to them. I pray that You not allow my ears to be deceived during ventilation. Grant me temperance and patience when the world's point of view is widely accepted and touted as truth versus the message that You would have received. I belong to You, and I know those who belong to You will know the truth. Thank You for Your spirit of truth. Amen and so it is.

Truth Be Told
Just tell me the truth
Go ahead, let it loose
I don't have time for no lies
Even those "white ones" in your eyes
I need to hear it raw and uncut
I need the words frank and upfront

You want the truth
Are you sure you're ready
It ain't no joke
These words are heavy
Okay here it comes
You better take a seat
When I share it with you
It might knock you off your feet

Truth be told
It's not what you think
The here and now
Is like water in sink
It will soon be gone
More will come
When it's all said and done
There will be another rising of the sun
We will be accountable for all that we have done and said
The sins of our heart
Will be charged to our head
So in your life
When choices you face
Pray for mercy and guidance
And thank God for His saving grace

Do You Know The Rules?

“Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”? Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires. (Colossians 2:21-23 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, I pray that You show me how to live and follow You, despite what man may tell me. Not that man is wrong, but man is just that, man. Man can be subject to wrong interpretations and ulterior motives. Help me not be the person forming critical opinions of others about their relationship with You. Let me not feel like the judge of whether others are drawing close to You in the right manner. Help me to focus on learning more about You in my life on a daily basis. Order my footsteps to tread as You would have me to go. Help me to allow others the freedom to develop their relationship with You on their own terms. God, You made us all, and You know each and every one of us personally. You know how and where to reach and meet us. I pray that Your will be done and that I don't interfere with it. Amen and so it is.

So Many
So many rules,
I can't keep up
So many instructions,
What the, yup
So many things I must remember to do
So many ways to follow suit

Which one is right
Which one is wrong
Many have been around for so very long
Allah, Buddha, Muslim, Hindu and more
Christianity got plenty
Judaism believes it's core

Do I pray to the east
Turn down my plate
Forsake pork
Eat beef
Do I honor the sabbath and keep it holy
Is that Saturday or Sunday only
Do I earn the right to a heavenly home
Do I tell the man in the booth I need to atone

So confusing
Easy for one to get lost
I'm gone start with this first
"There is only one boss"
What do you call it
It's up to you
How do you serve it
If you think it's true
Your heart knows exactly what to do
Let your spirit guide you
You'll find what's right for you
You will come to believe
The Truth you will receive

What Do You Want God To Do For You?

“So those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last.” (Matthew 20:16 NLT)

Today's Prayer
I'm crying out to You. Calling Your name. Please don't pass me by. I need You to touch me. I've heard that touching the hem of Your garment healed a woman from years of infirmity. I can only imagine what a touch from You will do for my life. Please Lord, I'm begging You, touch me. I want to be changed forever more. Amen and so it is.

Touch Me
Touch me and make me whole
Touch me inside my soul
Touch me and change my life
Touch me and free this misery and strife

Touch me like only you can
Touch me so I can stand
Touch me so I can see
Touch me so I can touch the world around me

Are You Safe?

But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O lord, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. You are a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat. For the oppressive acts of ruthless people are like a storm beating against a wall, (Isaiah 25:4 NLT)

Today's Prayer
O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! I pray that You keep me safe from death and destruction. I realize that there is a battle for my soul going on.  As this battle looms, help me to choose the right side. Encircle me with the spiritual allies to support me in battle. Armour me with the shield of salvation and the breastplate of righteousness. Let me wield Your word as a mighty sword to cut down anything that would come in opposition to Your will for my life. I know I sometimes put myself in harms way, but I ask you to protect  me from my own foolishness and trickery. Set my mind straight, and let my lifestyle be a daily sacrament unto You. In Your name I pray. Amen and so it is.

My Loving Dad
Who is strong and mighty like no other
Who is a friend that sticks closer than a brother
Who is able to calm all my fears
Who is always present and always near

Who knows the name of every single star
Who can cover the distance no matter how far
Who knew about me before I was born
Who offers grace and mercy to those who scorn

Who writes the song that makes the whole world sing
Who is the creator of every living thing
Who makes for good what the world would deem bad
Who else, but my Loving Dad

Which Way Will You Go?

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; (Isaiah 53:6 KJV)

Today's Prayer
Lord, I face so many decisions every day. I pray for Your guidance with all of them. Let me not just give You the big ones, but let the least ones be subjected to Your direction and approval. Thank You for a sound mind and the ability to use my own judgement. I pray that they be aligned and on one accord with Your will. Lord, make it clear for me. Identify the people You would have me place in my inner circle as advisers and confidants. Show me who I can trust and what I should entrust them with. Teach me how to seek You and pray on everything. Amen and so it is.

Which Way
Which way should I go
Which way should I turn
Which way shall I be
Which way should I yearn

The way of the warrior
The way of the friend
The way of desire
The way of pleasing men

The way of honor
The way of life
The way of courage
The way of strife

The way of the father
The way of the son
The way of eternal life
The way of One

Why Is It Written?

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4 KJV)

Today's Prayer
Father, open my eyes to see life as You would have me to. I want to learn how to see the souls of men. You loved me since before I was born, and You love me in-spite of my faults. There is nothing I can do to separate me from Your love. I pray for the willingness to learn how to love others that same way. To love the spirit of the person even when I don't love their ways. I need Your help, because without You, I'm not always desiring to give others that second chance. I don't naturally want to forgive or forget. I pray that You help me to see God in all Your creations. Help me to recognize You even when things seem terrible or just flat out disturbing. I pray for a one-on-one relationship with unconditional love; not just receiving it, but offering it as well. Help me to get to know Love better by spending more time praying, meditating and studying Your word. Amen and so it is.

Hope Is
Hope is built on nothing-less
Hope is based on righteousness

Hope is constant from day to day
Hope is the start of every new day

Hope is trusting when things go wrong
Hope is knowing nothing lasts too long

Hope is what carries me on
Hope is why I still stand strong

Hope is believing when others can't see
Hope is having God inside of me

Does Everything Happen For A Reason?

But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:9, 14 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Today I pray for the internal me, the one others don't see. I ask that You fix my inside to match my outside appearance. I need You to fix me in a way that I can't tell others about. I'm messed up on the inside because of things that happened in the past. Things that scarred me as a child, and things that haunt me as an adult. I've done some things that I'm not so proud of and I need You to help me forgive myself. Some things were done to me that are affecting how I show up and if I show up at all. There are probably things that I've blocked out and don't even remember that are at the root of my internal condition as well. Help me Lord. I ask that Spirit make intercession for me with a groaning that I cannot utter. Search my heart Lord and know that I love You. I am standing on the promise of Your word that all things work together for the good to them that love God. I love God, and I'm here to do Your will. Amen and so it is.

Simply
I love You
I give You all of me

I love You
I am what You see

I love You
What more can I do

I love you
Know that this is true

I love you
Hear me when I say

I love you
More and more every day

Are You In Your Lane?

If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. (Romans 12:7, 8 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Lord, I see so many people really trying hard to do their best. Today I pray that You help them be the best they can be. Encourage that teacher in the classroom dealing with social and environmental issues. Inspire that young child to believe they can do more than their circumstances suggest. Renew the energy of that person being of service to others despite not receiving appreciation for doing so. Direct that leader to make sound and wise decisions in the best interest of the followers. Anoint that person You've called to minister to Your people rather it be from the pulpit, the studio, or the theatre. I pray for the best in others. Let me be an aid in bringing out the best in others around me. In Your name I pray. Amen and so it is.

So, You Wanna Be
If you want to be a ballerina
Then you must dance with grace and precision
If you want to be an athlete
Develop the technical and mental skills of that position
If you desire to fly rocket ships to outer space
Learn to calculate the speed of light as it travels from place to place
A parent or a loving spouse
Compliments and encouraging words should fill your mouth
A teacher or spreader of good news
Roll up your sleeves and get some good walking shoes

Be the best at what you do
Bring honor, integrity, and commitment with you
Sing that song
Preach that word
Cultivate that garden
Cook with fresh herbs

Whatever it is, I believe you can
Be the best woman, child or man

Is It Time?

“Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins? (Haggai 1:4 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Spirit of life and truth. All that is, is because of You. Basically, I've been so focused on my grind that some things have slipped through the cracks. I have a roof over my head and my pantry is stocked. I have material possessions and my finances are getting better. Even though You've done all that for me I need You to forgive me, because I haven't really been tithing my money or my time, like I said I would. My spiritual being is anorexic. Forgive me for my passing prayers. I know they are quick, but most days, I just don't seem to have the time for much more than "Jesus wept, amen." I've been a bit self-centered. Forgive me for not offering the homeless, the widows, and the fatherless or motherless child my help. I need to volunteer more, but Lord, You know how it goes. I pray that You don't treat me the same as I have been treating You. I pray that You have mercy on me and that You continue to extend Your grace to me. I pray that You turn my backwards thinking around and set my inner-most being right. If You must, tear me down so You can make me whole, but only if You need to. I prefer You just give me a pass on the tear down and allow me to get it together. Nevertheless, let Your will be done. Amen and so it is.

Keep On (Pushin' On)
Fight when your back is against the wall
Get back up when you fall
When all hell breaks loose
It's your destiny, you choose

You call me
I call you
We push each other
That's what we do

I need you to live
Your all to give
I am waiting for you
To really come thru
Not just stop in or pass by
Let the world know,
Who made you and why

You call me
I call you
We push each other
That's what we do

Can You See?

While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. (John 12:36 KJV)

Today's Prayer
Lord, open my eyes. Allow me to see Your glory in all situations and circumstances. I pray that You take me out of the darkness of ignorance of not knowing what is really going on. Soften my heart so that I can understand life's journey and embrace the valleys as well as the mountain tops. I turn to You and ask if You will heal me today. Not so much physically, but spiritually. I've let others and their opinions dictate my mental and emotional state. I've let their words and actions speak their truth instead of walking in my truth. Lord, be my light and my truth. Walk with me with and let me follow You to glory. Amen and so it is.

The Lone Star
Look in the sky at that star
It seems so near, yet so far
Why is it alone, doesn't it have any friends
That on your perspective depends
Could be that there is a cloud
The others could be covered like a shroud
Maybe there is fog from pollution in the air
Whatever it is
That lone star doesn't care
It's light shines on
It remains bright
No matter what the situation
It stays in sight
Maybe one day
You and I can be
Like that lone star
A mark throughout history

What Can Separate You From The Love Of God?

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God...(Romans 8:38, 39 NLT)

Today's Prayer
I pray for all those people that think they have the real power and don't give any credit to You. I ask that You do something special for them despite their arrogance and non-recognition of Your presence. I want You to move on their behalf and do something extraordinary in their life. Work a miracle, and let them experience love that could only come from above. Grant them relief from some turmoil or pain. Lord, let your blessings fall down on them; make it rain. Help me to be a living witness for all to see. Help my words to remain steadfast in the face of adversity. Help my actions to remain honorable in the presence of trials and tribulations. Let me have peace in the midst of the storm. Most of all, let me be love. The kind that could only come from above. Amen and so it is.

That Fountain
Deep and wide
Deep and wide
There's a fountain flowing
Deep and wide

Wide and deep
Wide and deep
There's a fountain flowing
Wide and deep

That fountain is God's love
The fountain is God's grace
That Fountain fills up
Every void and space

That fountain is everlasting
That fountain is pure
That fountain is all I need
That fountain will endure

Are You Glad?

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. (1 Peter 1:6 NLT)

Today's Prayer
I lift my hands in praise to say thank You to the one and only Supreme Being. The creator of life. I thank You. I don't know what else to do. I've tried screaming, fussing, shouting, cussing and crying, and now I'm exhausted. All I can do is throw my hands up, and since they're up, I might as well try praising You. I pray that You will teach me how to truly have joy and be thankful for everything. I need You to intervene on my behalf and handle my life for me. I just don't feel like doing it today. God, I don't want to quit, I'm just tired. Please give me strength. Renew my faith. Seed my joy and source my peace. Help me to remember nothing lasts forever. I pray that I am able to take the good times with the bad ones and not lose sight of The glory You have in-store for me. Amen and so it is.

Who
Who can take the whole world
In the palm of His hand
Who can heal the sick
And raise the dead
Who can mend broken hearts
And restore joy
Who can breathe life into dirt
Make a girl from a boy
Who can tell darkness
Let there be light
Who can give the blind back their sight
Who can tell the storm "peace be still"
Who...
He can
He who is real

Who Is For You?

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 KJV)

Today's Prayer
I'm fired up and ready to go. Lord, I pray that You be with me every step of the way. I ask that You be my mouthpiece and defense today. There's some unkind spirits waiting to pounce and I'm asking You to handle them for me. I know You just been waiting for me to ask, so I am. You know that spirit of jealousy, false pride, and hate; they can't have no space in my place.  I rebuke those spirits of calamity, illness and fear. I stand with You and come against anything that is not of You, and anything that is not like You. Amen and so it is.

Ready
I'm ready for the battle
I'm prepared for the war
My courage is in tact and
My faith even more

No turning back
No backing down
I got my sword and my shield
The helmet on my crown

When You say ready, set
I say let's go
I'm ready for battle
Enemy, I want You to know

I'm ready for the battle
I'm prepared for the war
My courage is in tact and
My faith even more

What Is Your Function?

Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, (Romans 12:4 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, I humbly come to Your throne of grace. I turn my mind over to You. Lord I pray that You help me to be more open minded about the possibilities You. Lord forgive me for limiting You by trying to define You. I know that You have been called by many names such as Supreme Being, Master of The Universe, Lord of Lords, The Creator, Jehovah, Allah, Nike, Zeus, Chief Counselor, Buddha, Yahweh, El Shaddai, Yah, Savior, King of Kings, Eloah, Elah, Hakadosh, Redeemer, Messiah and many more. Let it not matter to me what somebody else chooses to call You. I want to make it a priority to call You for myself. I want to know You in a way that's personal and real for me. I'm tired of everybody else telling me who and what You are. I need You to remove all the chatter and clutter from my life. I need Your Holy Spirit to guide and direct me. I need Love to lift me higher and carry me above my sights, sounds, situations and circumstances. I need the Great I Am to do a great thing in my life. Let me embrace open-mindedness, willingness and acceptance. Allow them to lead me to a path of peace, serenity and courage. Amen and so it is.

Is It

Is it true
Is it really You
Is it destiny
Is it plain to see
Is it for me
Is it mine for the taking
Is it real, no faking
Is it all that
It is, in fact

Who Are You?

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. (Romans 8:30 KJV)
And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. (Romans 8:30 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Lord, I'm feeling good today. I know who I am and whose I am. I'm Yours. You called me. You made me, and most importantly You saved me. Hallelujah! I come to give You glory. I come to give You praise. I come to lift You up. I come to magnify Your name. You've been so good, I just want to say thank you. Amen and amen again.

So Good
Better than chocolate
Sweeter than apple pie
Smother than ice cream
Oh, my, my, my

More refreshing than honeydew
Or berries topped with cream
Better than Grandma's cooking
Now, you know that's a dream

More tasty than candy yams
Covered with marshmallows
More delicious than tender barbecue
That'll make you slap the devil

You just so good
You just so tight
You make my life complete
You make everything all right

What Time Is It?

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV)

Today's Prayer
Lord give me sign. A reason to keep moving this way. Show me that it is the right direction. Light my path with the brightness of the North Star. Guide me like the wise men searching for the newborn Christ. Make me to know righteousness and pureness of heart as my best companions. Steer me like a ship passing thru the Gibraltar Straits, helping me to avoid treachery and dangers unseen.  Lord, You know my reason for being. I say yes to Your will even though I don't understand it. Use me as You desire and let me fulfill my purpose. Amen and so it is.

We Must
We must get up
We must not fear
We must survive
We must our children hear

We must do
We must be
We must because
The world is depending on we

We must live
We must thrive
We must have faith
We must keep hope alive

We must surrender
To God not man
We must be able to say
We did all we can

Are You Angry?

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. (James 1:19, 20 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, thank You for Your grace and mercy. I pray that You teach me how to grant others a measure of that myself. I need You to not allow me to be temperamental, quite unpredictable or erratic in my behavior, at times when I feel I've been wronged. Help me to place judgement aside. Help me to not take everything so personal. Remind me that no matter what the circumstances may suggest, it's not about me at all. I pray that Your Holy Spirit takes over my carnal mind and body so that I can hear what You want me to hear and only say what You would have me to say. Let me see that the person who I think wants to irritate me may be having a hard day and feels overwhelmed by their personal struggles. Help me encourage that person who feels powerless in every area of their life. Help me remind someone that is feeling insecure that they are beautiful and perfect because they were made by You. Lord, let me give a hug or lend a helping hand to that individual who feels they have to do everything on their own and that they are all alone. I pray that Your righteousness be alive and vivid in my life. I want to see others like You see me, as one of Your children. Amen and so it is.

Straight A's
A helping hand
A shoulder on which to lean
A listening ear
A boost to my self-esteem

A kind heart
A necessary word
A willing worker
A request that was heard

A hope for a new tomorrow
A glimpse of a morning sun
A deliverance from sorrow
A victory that is won

A friend that is pure
A love that is sure
A faith that is secure
A God that will endure

Did You Hear About God?

Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. (Isaiah 40:28 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Thank You for being such an amazing God. Thank You for always being there for me. Lord, I pray that You help me to be present, to be in the moment of experiencing life today. My mind has been filled with so many thoughts of what needs to get done or how I should have done it a different way. I'm missing out on the greatest gift of all, the here and now. Grant me the serenity to accept the things that have already been done, and endow me with courage to do the things that need to be done. Most of all help me to just be still in the moment and experience the blessing of right now, something I can never know again. God, I just want to feel You and see You in this moment and space around me. Thank You for now. Amen and so it is.

Right Now
The time has come
The moment is here
Not a minute to waste
No need for fear

Put everything down
More time, no
You knew I was coming back
You should've been ready to go

I'm not ready
Not prepared in fact
Sorry to hear it
It's too late for all of that

If you ready
Come with me
If not
Stay and weep

What should I do know
All I can say is wow
I'm not ready for this
Really, right now

Today's Insight

I have learned silence from the talkative, tolerance from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind. Yet, strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers.
