What Is The Will Of God?

Today's Prayer
Sometimes it seems like I've come so far only to end up back at a place of where I thought I had long passed. Lord, encourage my soul. Strengthen me to boldly confront the dissident behaviors of those who seemingly work against me.  Enlighten my thoughts with knowledge and wisdom of Your fundamental truths. I pray for the willingness to do Your will, despite the temptation to service mine. Let my well doing not go unnoticed or be unappreciated. I'm trying hard Lord to hold on to You, and I pray that You help me to not let go of what is right. Please, don't let me grab onto the throats of those that would persecute me. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
God, You've blessed me in so many ways. I'm grateful. Well, at least I try to be. I know I should be grateful. You said You will never leave or forsake me. I am grateful. I know that there is somebody else worse off than me. Lord, help me to remember that all things come from You and all situations are allowed by You. In other words, show me how to appreciate everything that is, versus lamenting over everything that isn't. Lord, I thank You for giving me life, and that more abundantly. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
Lord, my to-do list is out of control. Things to do for work; things to do at home; things to do for family; things to do with friends, but I rarely add on my list things to do for God. Lord, I'm sorry. I pray that I will make more time for You in my life. Show me how to incorporate You into my everyday life as a priority and not mainly an after thought. I pray for the conviction to be steadfast and obedient to Your will. I know that life goes on around me and I must step up to the responsibilities that have been placed before me. So, I ask that You help me to address life as if I was doing it for a God Almighty. Let me give 1000% to all that is required of me. I want to be Your good and faithful servant, in whom You are well pleased. Amen and so it is.

Do You Have An Attitude?

Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. (Ephesians 4:23, 24 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Lord, no matter what I do, how much I worship, or how many times I pray; the old me seems to not want to go away.  I'm constantly battling that part of me which I call the flesh. Please help.  God, help me to stop telling lies. Not the big ones, I'm good with those; but the small ones they call the "white lies."  Help me to notice the connection between the little lie and the big lie - like; there is no God, there is only me. Lord, forgive me for even allowing myself to suggest such, even as an example. Father, I truly want to be righteous. I want to love my neighbors, and not let anger control me. I desire to use my hands for doing redeeming work and giving generously to others in need. Help me Lord. I pray that everything I say be virtuous and helpful, so that my words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. I pray that I bring honor to Your Holy Spirit by the way I live. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
Lord, I Pray that You help me align my actions with my intentions. I keep getting the same results. People are upset. I hurt their feelings. I was brash. I was inconsiderate, and so forth. I don't mean to come off this way, but sometimes I do. God, please help me to do better and to be better. Show me myself from the outside-in. Teach me how to let the God in me be seen first, and allow the me in me to take a back seat. In other words, Lord, heel my pride. I want others that encounter me to be blessed, not be messed; nor their life by me to be stressed. In Your name I pray. Let it be. Amen and so it is.

Lord, there is none like You. I place You above all that I have and know. I pray that You establish   me as an example of one who serves in Your Sacred Service. Let love lift me high above the temporal thoughts of mankind. Let Your spirit abide in me, and make the center of my existence  eruct evidence of Your reign in my life. Father, open my eyes to see You are everything. Regardless of what name others may call You, I call You my "All in All." There is but one You. Teach me to respect and appreciate the umteem presentations of You across the world. Amen and so it is.

Lord, I pray that my mind be reconstructed so my actions can be transformed. Help me to think about life in a Godly way.  Let me not let the opinions of this world have dominion over me. Grant me the courage to live a principle centered life and accept Your precepts, those fundamental truths. Let me dwell in the presence of the Most High. I ask that You lead me and guide me along the way to love and peace beyond understanding. Amen and so it is.

What should I pray? Lord, You know my heart and my desires. You know my thoughts and my dreams. You know my past and my future. Please, teach me how to pray. Let me take enough time to be thankful and grateful for all that You've done. Fix my words to make supplications on behalf of others and not myself. Govern my solicitations to be requests of knowledge of Your will. Subject me to gain innate wisdom from Your instructions. Let my diction surrender to righteousness, obedience, self-discipline, integrity, honor, and humility. Make my salutation always encompass the principles of love, kindness, and mercy; tolerance, faith, and courage. Save my soul dear Lord. Give me a clean heart, one that pumps the blood of pureness and the sanctity of God. Amen and so it is.

God, I can relate to people not believing me when I tell them how You are moving in my life. It seems quite unbelievable. I would never have thought You would allow me to achieve so much,  and in the same lifetime, be humbled and brought so low to only ascend up again in Your glory. I mean, You took me from rags to riches to almost rags again. You've shown me the view from the mountain top, and You've allowed me to lay low deep down in the valley. You've let my ego and self centeredness grow magnanimously in the presence of others. You've presented me with misfortune and experiences of deliberate betrayal. Yet, When I show up as my authentic-self, You show out tremendously. I pray Lord, that I can remember to always keep in mind how great You are despite what others around me may say or think. Let my life be a testimony of fortitude, obedience, and diligence. Amen and so it is.

Lord, I will serve You with all that I am. I give my entire being to You. I want You to direct my mind. Redirect my thinking. Let my meditation be on things that are pure and righteous. I present my body to You as a living sacrifice. I commit to giving my flesh proper nutrition and exercising my limbs to stimulate good health. I offer my soul as an empty vessel to be filled with Your spirit. I'm willing to be obedient and respond to Your beckoning. Lord, help me to tune my life into Your spirit on the strongest possible frequency. Place my light and vibrations be on a higher level of understanding. Let them be recognized from afar and draw others to You. Lord, let it be. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
Lord, I know that Your word lasts forever. You are a sovereign God, who reigns supreme over everything. Truth is, I'm tired and confused, and I'm all out Lord. I've tried fasting and praying. I read Your word and I trust in You. I even go to Your house of worship for the edification of my spirit, but it's doesn't seem to be working right now. I'm tired of listening to the preacher preach at me. I'm burned out on the teachings of man about You. I need a direct word from You. I need You to show up and be present in my life like never before. I'm just being honest Lord, I don't know what else to do. Like the songwriter says, "take me to the King, I don't have much to bring. My heart is torn in pieces, it's my offering." I'm going to give You the glory despite how I feel. I pray that you reinforce my faith, make it stronger than ever before, even in the face of seemingly invincible odds. Despite how I may be feeling, I know that You alone are God, and You can fix it for me. Amen, and so it is.

I'm praying and asking for one more chance to get it right. God, please, don't let Your mercy or grace run out on me. I'm desperately hoping to make amends with my deeds instead of my words. Lord, I know I messed up. I didn't make the best decisions, and I acted out. Help me to do better the next time I'm in this situation. Forgive me for my insolence. Discharge my personal desires, and enlist Your spirit to guide me. In Your name I pray. Amen and so it is.

You're all I need, I believe that. I pray that I come to genuinely desire and truly know that You're all I want. Everything that is of You, is what is best for me. I ask that You enlighten me today, give me the opportunity to be familiar with Your knowledge and Your wisdom. Consecrate me, and place Your instructions in the cornerstone of my temple. Make it holy. I understand, You are my only source, despite how things may appear. I get it. Give me the wisdom of harvesting. Let me apply that wisdom to harvest the prosperity and abundance that You have already placed here for me. Allow me to experience You, so that I may understand, how great You really are. Celestial Being, please help me today. I need Your light to shine bright in my life so that I can see the real me. I pray for courage to look squarely into the mirror and acknowledge the person I am. Let be honest in my assessment, not judge-mental, but critical of my character and ways. I've been avoiding the deep introspective self-reflection for so long that it seems easier to just keep avoiding it. I pray that You come with me, hold my hand and steady my gaze. Show me not only who I am, but who You would have me to be. Grant me a glimpse of the glory You have in-store for me. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
Teach me how to love unconditionally, like You love me. I pray that I will accept others just as they are, not as I want them to be. I pray that my love extends beyond my preferences and opinions. I really need You to help me with this. I'm struggling in that area and it is affecting my peace of mind. Lord, help me to remember that You, in all Your greatness, created mankind with free will. If You don't force people or make them do Your will, then who am I to think that I should. Place within me real acceptance and meaningful tolerance. Steep me with the knowledge, that despite appearances or circumstances, people and things are exactly as they are supposed to be at this moment in time, and that includes me. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
I'm praying for a change Lord. I've been obedient and faithful. I've kept your precepts and submitted my life fully to you. I have humbled myself, and I pray on a regular basis. I've even turned from my wicked ways (well, at least most of the time). But things are still tough. I still feel like I'm in a struggle with surviving day to day life. I need you to change some things for me. I want to thrive. I pray that you open up the windows of heaven and let there be a storm of blessings poured down on me. I need a change Lord, please. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
Today is payday. Let me not withhold due and just reward from the laborers. Those who have diligently toiled in the field of oppression and hardship. Those who have stood up for the less fortunate and died on the sword of righteousness. I pray that I remember to pay them respect, honor their legacies, and reverence their sacrifices. Bless those trailblazers who made it possible for me to live the life I live. They made it possible for me to enjoy the liberties of freedom. They planted seeds and tilled the land so that I could reap their harvest. Now, I live lavishly and in comfortable surroundings. Father, encourage those who sacrifice for the good of others and dedicate their time and resources to making a difference in this world. Lord, grant them a double portion of Your blessing if You will. You see them even if no one else acknowledges them. Let them know they are necessary and appreciated. Amen and so it is.

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, have mercy on me today.  Thank You for tolerating my foolishness and my spiritual immaturity. You've allowed me safe passage through my period of folly. I'm still alive. Thank You. I pray that You help me to leave my simple ways behind and not look back. I yearn to begin to live as You would have me to live, not as I want to. I ask that You teach me to use good judgment. I'm tired of making the same old mistakes over and over again. Repeatedly asking for forgiveness for identical transgressions. Give me instruction o'Lord, and help me to be wise. Impart the skills in me to be just, and increase in me the learning that only You can make me truly happy. Amen and so it is.

Almighty, You are the Alpha and the Omega; the beginning and the end. Help me to recognize that just as I behold You, children behold me too. I pray that I can be everything that they need me to be. Everything that they aspire to be. Everything that they desire to role model. Everything that their habits reflect. Lord, I need help with living up to the responsibility that You have blessed me with. You chose me to be a parent or made me a guardian for a reason. It is hard sometimes. You made me their influence for a cause beyond my understanding. I ask and pray that I will always cherish them and value them as treasures that You have entrusted to me. I pray that I can be an inspiration to them, and help them to believe that they can achieve more than what seems probable or possible. Thank You for the children. Amen and so it is.

I pray for the women who have forgotten their roles as Queens. The nurturers and caretakers of life. I pray that You rejuvenate her self-esteem and place her in her right place of respect and admiration. Let me be a man that encourages and edifies her mind, body and spirit. Let me be uplifting to her and not a source of discouragement. I pray that You place role models and examples in her life of hope, and strength, and courage. Place Your angels around her to protect her from despondency and dissuasion. I pray that You illuminate her pathway and make it clear to her the presence of Your power within her. Amen and so it is.

Do You Have A True Friend?

A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. (Proverbs 17:17 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Lord, teach me how to be a Johnathan. A true friend, like David had in the bible. Let honor, and integrity, and strength of character be my calling cards. Let me have the courage of Peter the disciple, to be willing to fight for righteousness. Instill in me the wisdom of Solomon, to intimately know and share the knowledge of the truth. Help me to embrace the love of Jesus, and be willing to sacrifice mine for the good of others. These things I ask, and I pray for your blessings. Amen and so it is.

It seems like a simple song
Talking about relationships
But more than just the ones
That have to do with interacting hips

All the promises to be true

Is an important element
Be careful of with whom you share
Your time and your confidence

What Are You?

Today's Prayer
Lord, I am a sinner, and I'm probably going to sin again. Please forgive me. I pray that I don't get too high and mighty on false pride as I journey onward. Let me remember these words of humility; "but for the grace of God, there go I." May this be a phrase that I dare not forget to utter. I also pray that You help me to show up and accept the responsibility of leadership that You have charged me with. Give me the impetus and the fortitude to be obedient to Your will. Emblazon my life with the ornament of Your power and spirit. In Your name I pray and thank You. Amen and so it is.

How Do You Love?

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Galatians 5:14 KJV)

Today's Prayer
Lord, I get it, You want me to love others in the right way. Does that mean I have to like them? I pray that You teach me to love those persons that I don't like very much. Show me how to have compassion for that person who hardly ever speaks back when I say hello, or that inconsiderate neighbor who acts like the world revolves around them. Teach me to really love that person with the foul mouth who indiscriminately talks loud and cusses in front of small children and the elderly without concern for effect on those within earshot. Lord, help me not want to respond to that disrespectful individual in the same manner in which they treat everyone else. Help me not to provoke others to wrath with my self righteous behavior. If any of these things be acts of love, then let me be the love You would have me to be. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
Lord, I need a fresh start, a do-over of sorts. My life is not exactly what I would like it to be right now. I'm surviving, but I'm not thriving. I believe You have more in-store for me. I pray that You allow Your Spirit to fall afresh on me. Wash me and make me clean. Only Your Spirit can give me new life. I'm ready and willing to accept that newness of life today, right now. I pray that You dwell inside of me and not only alter my walk and my talk, but my life and my strife as well. Give me a new pep in my step. Prove to me that when I take a step towards You, that You will take many steps with me and towards me as well. Overhaul my spirit and fill it with righteousness and truth; joy and peace; faith and courage; abundance and prosperity; and most importantly, love. Amen and so it is.

Today's Prayer
Lord, I turn to You. I ask that You help me to remove anything covering or blocking others from seeing Your glory through me. Let me not be a barrier to others who seek to develop a personal relationship with You. Remove any impediment from my mind and help me to understand the truth of my words and actions. Eradicate any artifact from me that is not of You. Let me reflect the glory of the Lord. Make me more and more like You. Evolve me and mold me into Your glorious image. Amen and so it is.

We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. (Romans 15:2 NLT)

Today's Prayer
Lord, I don't know quite how to say this, but I'm pissed off. Help me manage and control this anger. Convert it to compassion and understanding. I pray for tolerance and temperament. I need to remember that I play a role in every individual situation that I'm involved in. Grant me the ability to acknowledge that fact, and help me to embrace that principle as truth. Guide my actions to inspire others to behave according to Your will. Let me take adversity and embrace it as opportunity. Let me make falling down a chance to visualize a new perspective. Let me help others by improving myself and strengthening my walk with You. Amen and so it is.

What Is The Promise?

Today's Prayer
Lord, I'm calling on You. I'm asking that You save me. Save me from me. Rescue me from the temptation of doing my own thing. Remove from me the need to ask for Your permissive will. Forgive me for my waywardness. I pray that You allow me to turn my life towards You, even after all this time of turning the other way. I ask that You indue me with Your Holy Spirit. Please, dispatch the Comforter to escort me along the remainder of my journey.  Amen and so it is.
