What's In Your Eye?

“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying, ‘Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. (Luke 6:41-42 NLT)

Today's Prayer
I'm great at seeing what's wrong with others and saying or telling them all about it. Lord, I pray that you help me to mind my own business and leave others' well enough alone.  Help me to accept the truth. The truth is; I can only recognize in others, what is in me. Yes Lord, help me to cope with my issues instead of focusing on theirs.  Instill in me the discipline to think before I speak, and to pray before I say. God, I know I'm not perfect, and I don't believe You require me to be. Help me to not put that expectation of perfection on others. Thank You for blessing me and giving me the serenity that goes along with acceptance. Amen and so it is.
